Bwlch Nant yr Arian is Forestry Commission Wales' prime visitor attraction in the heart of Mid Wales. We are famous for Red Kites, which we feed here daily (3pm summer, 2pm winter). There is a variety of walking and mountain bike trails as well as an all ability route which circles the lake. We also have 2 play areas, picnic sites and a newly opened Animal Puzzle trail. The Vale of Rheidol Railway is one of the Great Little Trains of Wales and was the last steam railway owned by British Rail until it was privatised in 1989.
