Dame Catherine Harpur's School in Ticknall is a flourishing and friendly rural school, catering for children from age 3 right up to age 11.

There are currently about 30 children in school full time, divided into two classes. Plus a maximum of 8 children in the nursery class in any session.

An environment small enough for children to receive individual encouragement and support, yet large enough to provide them with social and intellectual stimulation and a rich variety of experiences.

Derby Grammar School is an independent day school for boys aged 7 to 16 and girls and boys in the Sixth Form. Our school has three distinct sections: Junior School for boys aged 7 to 11, our Senior School for boys aged 11 to 16 which is in turn divided into the Lower and Upper School and our co-educational Sixth Form. Welcome to the Gateway Christian School. We are a small school set in the idyllic surroundings of Dale Abbey. The school was founded in 1989 by the Parochial Church Council of Stanton-by-Dale with Dale Abbey. The school is closely linked to the church. There is a strong and overt Christian ethos but all are welcome and no-one has been refused a place. The school is funded by payments from parents according to their ability to pay. As the school has small classes, we aim at a maximum class size of 15, then much individual attention can be given and children are encouraged to develop their full potential and grow into the people God intended them to be.
