Moorlands School and Nursery was founded in 1891. It was originally located in the town centre before moving to Dunstable Road. It grew steadily over the following decades, until further expansion ultimately led to a relocation in 1958 to Leagrave Hall, a former home of the Filmer family.

We are an independent Pre-Preparatory School for children from 18 months - 8 years old. Boys and girls transfer mainly to the Harpur Trust Schools in Bedford at 7+ or 8+.

Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies (CCSS) is one of the UK’s leading independent sixth-form colleges, specialising in A-level and GCSE courses, and preparing students for entry into the best universities in the UK and abroad.
