St Paul’s Cathedral School can boast a history of over 900 years. Its present site, adjacent to the Cathedral enables our pupils to benefit from the vibrant cultural and historical heritage of the City of London and its environs. The School is proud to work with the Cathedral Music Department in educating the boy choristers of the world renowned Cathedral Choir. During the school day the boarding choristers work and play alongside 200 day pupils, both boys and girls, aged from 4-13 years. The school embraces a broad and balanced curriculum and offers an exciting programme of extra curricular activities, all within a genuine commitment to co-education.

The Lyceum opened in September 1997. We take children from the ages of 3 to 11 years old. The Lyceum is an independent co-educational, mixed-ability, fee-paying school managed by Lynn Hannay and Jeremy Rowe, who together have 50 years experience in the field of primary education. The Lyceum offers a rigorous education in basic skills preparing children for entrance and scholarship examinations. The Lyceum operates hours which match the working hours of parents, offering after-school clubs until 6.00pm.

Westminster Abbey Choir School exists solely to educate and care for the 30 or so boys who sing as choristers in the Abbey Choir. The purpose-built school, set in the heart of the Abbey precincts, offers a complete preparatory school boarding education but tailored precisely to the needs of choristers. Academic lessons, musical tuition, sports, activities and games are carefully arranged around the boys’ various singing commitments to offer a unique experience.

Westminster Cathedral Choir School is a leading Catholic preparatory school for 150 boys aged 8 to 13 (Years 4 to 8). We are located in the heart of London, just a short walk from the Houses of Parliament, and in the heart of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales, at Westminster Cathedral, just off Victoria Street.

Each academic year, there are around 700 pupils in the School, of whom about a quarter are boarders. Of these, about 30 boarders and 70 day pupils are girls who join the School after GCSE examinations for their sixth-form years. Most boys come to the School at the age of 13 and qualify for entry either through the Common Entrance examination, at present taken in June each year, or through the Westminster scholarship examination, known as The Challenge, which is taken in May. Both boys and girls may enter the sixth form to study for their A levels.

The academic standard here is high, but high standards in the classroom and good sport, music, art and drama are by no means mutually exclusive, and we value our pupils achievements in all areas of school life. This is a small school of approximately two hundred and seventy boys and the staff get to know their pupils very well.
